This VoxBox was full of beauty products from EVA NYC, Tree Hut and Vera Wang. Plus full of food coupons to try (which I still need to get to the store and do) from Country Crock, and Coles Middles. And a laundry soap trial from Gain Botanicals.
Here are my four favorites in no particular order from the Harvest Vox Box by Influenster. I will let the pictures do the speaking. Feel free to click the links to find these products. I did receive all of them free and you could too if you join Influenster.
EVA NYE Mane Magic 10 in 1 Primer
Amazing for detangling and taming dry winter hair.
Tree Hut Organic Shea Body Butter Coconut Lime
I love how this little container fits in my purse and the smell takes me back to the beach this summer.
Clicking the links could help me keep the lights on at my house and shoes on the kids feet but don't worry the opinions I share are always my own.
I haven't lived in San Antonio long. Not quite three years. We moved here in February on 2015. And I'll tell you what!!? The weather surprised me. It was colder then I anticipated that spring. The city was even "DE-icing" the roads.
Ya'll!! I'm from rural, high country Colorado. The Department of Transportation only sands the roads in the mountains. And here I was in SaTx, it was a whopping 35' and they were DE-icing them. Ha!
I love fall style - with cute boots and scarves with jean jackets and long skirts. Just that extra layer in the wardrobe makes it fun to jet around town with the kids.
But I'm not sure I will ever get use to putting my coat on when I go inside and taking it off when I am outside or in my car. That is defiantly a southern thing.
I love fashion. And occasionally I even follow the trends. Like in my other post about this 2017-18 season of fashion, I love the wide belts and floral designs.
But I still have my own style. And I am mostly not very fashion forward. I love shoes with heels, long dresses and tunics. My hair style is always the same, down and wavy or messy bun.
Occasionally you will find me trying some new fashion trend. Some trend that I have decided to embark on. That's me and stripes. Especially stripes with this triangle cut that is suppose to help with flattering the figure. (At this point, with this dress I disagree.)
I love the style but not the dress. The way the dress is v-cut in the front and the back is my favorite. The color and pattern is not something that is in my usual one color fits all kinda liking. But the style of dress I fell in love with. So it made it into my wardrobe.
And as my Mama and I engaged in our favorite entertainment of the arts at The Playhouse, I had an opportunity to wear the dress. The Hunchback of Notre Dame is playing for the next few weeks if you get a chance to indulge. Quasimodo is phenomenal in this musical.
Anyway... about the dress.
I'm not sure how many more times I will wear it. And I could go on for a few more 100 words on how the dress style doesn't fit my body type (as well as I thought it would) but until we know each other better, I'll just leave the picture of me in the dress right here instead.
Do you keep clothes around that you only find mediocre?
It is officially fall in most places. The Pumpkin Pie Spice latte's are brewing in coffee machines all across the nation. The sweaters and boots have been dusted off. The cooler weather has brought people out of the air conditioned induced coma’s that swept the cities this summer.
But not in Texas. My A/C is still going strong. My coffee is still being served cold with ice and there are no cute boots in sight (unless I want my feet to swim in the sweaty socks).
But that hasn’t stopped the run way from gathering up the new looks for the next six months. (And by new I generally mean new for this six months but if your my age probably not new to your wardrobe).
My favorite four looks stated by Elle are as follows in no particular order
RED is the color for the season. It looks terrible on me but maybe I can get away with some new red heels to accent my very black and grey ensembles. Or maybe a red bag. Anything that is far away from face until this cystic acne clears one day.
And then the Western Front is always a welcomed trend for me. My roots take me back to long days on the ranch with sweaty saddles and roping areas. I’m not sure about this take on “steel toe” boots but I’ll take that cactus sweater to cuddle up in on the couch any day.
I’m also glad to see this wide belt trend reemerging. I love my wide belts and didn’t get rid of them so I’ll be sure to add them to my layers (that I will only be wearing indoors here in Texas cuz the air conditioner runs till about January and starts again in March).
And lastly a little velvet dress is perfect cocktail apparel for the holidays. And but now some cuts will be more formal for weddings. Oh fun! Who do I know getting married this fall so I can crush on some velvet?
Here is link to all 20 of the trends and a few others I am loving. Thanks Elle for always doing a fab job at compiling the trends of the season.
